Ministries

There are many opportunities for Christian service, growth and fellowship within our community of faith. Our church was founded with the idea that the only limitation in sharing the good news of Jesus is our own creativity. Our programs, activities and events all reflect that guiding priniciple.

Please scroll down to see a partial listing of our ministries. They are listed in no particular order.

Communications

The MCCCV Enews!

Our weekly email newsletter keeps you current on what is happening in our community of faith. Regular features include: our weekly scripture readings, announcements & community events. To be added to our growing list of subscribers, send an email to: Enews@mcccv.org

Community Outreach

West Valley Interfaith Association

MCCCV is a regular participant in this inter-faith organization. The West Valley Interfaith Association (WVIA) meets monthly and sponsors several inter-faith worship services.

Community Outreach

The Well in the Desert

MCCCV is a partner of the Well in the Desert (Palm Springs Homeless Feeding Program). In addition to our monthly financial support of this effort, MCCCV conducts an annual TOY DRIVE in cooperation with St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church where we collect new unwrapped toys throughout Advent. In 2004 we collected well over 1,200 toys which were distributed to the poorest of the poor at the annual Christmas Day Dinner at St. Theresa's. MCCCV also conducts an Easter Candy Drive during Lent.

Community Outreach

Saint Francis of Assisi Festival

Every year in November our congregation observes this Saint's day with a special outdoor worship service that features the Blessing of the Animals. In addition to a moving liturgy that includes the lighting of a memorial candle for animals who give of their lives for us, the Festival features information, prizes and raffles.

Church Administration

The board meets the last Wednesday of every month, 6:30 p.m. at the church 32150 Candlewood Drive, Suite 7 Cathedral City, CA 92234. All board meetings (unless specified) are open to all intersted individuals in the church and community.
