About Us
-
MCCCV was founded by the Rev. David Pelletier M.Div., in
March 1997 and is part of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan
Community Churches (UFMCC) which is one of the fastest growing
Christian denominations in the world, with over 46,000 members
in 23 countries around the world.
MCCCV is an Ecumenical, Evangelical, and Eucharistic church
in the mainstream of Christian thought and tradition, striving
to bring God's inclusive message of redemptive love and
salvation to all people. We accomplish this primarily through
a three-fold ministry of salvation, community, and Christian
Social Action.
MCCCV therefore, offers many opportunities for community
outreach, involvement, worship, and education. Our church
programs are designed to empower God's people and to bring
them to the liberating freedom that is found in God's inclusive
love for all of the Creator's children.

Mission
The Mission
Statement of the Metropolitan Community Church of the Coachella
Valley was adopted at our first annual congregational meeting
held on February 22, 1998, the last Sunday after the Epiphany.
Our mission is as visitors and followers of Christ to this time
and place, we recognize that we are all passing through. Our
purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to teach and
to love and then we return home. To this end, we will promote
harmony in body, mind and spirit and seek to unite our community
in service for the common good.
