The Coachella Valley

Our population is around 150,000 or so in several smaller communities. In addition we've listed links for the high desert communities as well.

College of the Desert
Our local community college (which is expanding all the time) offers many programs of interest to those wishing to pursue educational goals.

The Desert Sun
Our local newspaper

Yucca Valley
Although not technically in the Valley but rather nestled in the high desert...home of some of the best drinking water in the country...and the best Wal-mart around.

Indio
At the far East end of the Coachella Valley, Indio hosts the Annual DATE FESTIVAL & Riverside County State Fair...also sponsors the Tamale Festival...olé!

Desert Hot Springs
Home to many natural hot springs, great resorts and K Mart!

La Quinta
Home of the annual Art Festival and one of the fastest growing communities in all of California!

Palm Desert
New Yorker Magazine called Palm Desert a "GOLF-O-CENTRIC" city...that may be true but here's where everyone in the valley does most of their serious shopping...home to the desert's version of Rodeo Drive...El Paseo!

Rancho Mirage
A great address and a great community. Lots of restaurants to explore...yum.

Cathedral City
Cathedral City right next door Palm Springs to the East. Great neighborhoods and entertainment.

The City of Palm Springs
Palm Springs is a quaint village of wonderful shopping, great neighborhoods, entertainment and fun!
